Making Money From Popcorn

Popcorn is a house hold snack made by roasting moistened yellow corn at certain temperature to form a pop. Popcorn making as a business has undergone some changes over the years. Some people add colorants to make it look colorful and attractive, while some even add sugar to make it tastier. Popcorn is the easiest snack to make at home, and it can be consumed by both children and adults.
One interesting thing about the popcorn is its marketability.
In some exalted places like hotels and eateries, popcorn Is sold at outrageous prices. If you have ever been to cinema show, you will understand what I am talking about.
What Do I Need to Start my Popcorn Business?
  1. A popcorn making machine (costs between 25 and 30 thousand) but can be made locally.
  2. One or half bag of yellow maize.
  3. Sugar and colorant (optional)
  4. Packaging materials like nylon bags.
  5. sealing machine
You can make your popcorn stand out by packaging it in specially branded nylon bags. Well packaged popcorn will cost more than the one tied in transparent nylon bags and sold by the roadside. For example, popcorn sold in choice eateries will be more expensive because of its packaging and the environment in which it is sold. So if you want to make good profit, make your packaging standout.
Who are My Potential Customers?
  1. schools/students
  2. super markets
  3. restaurants/eateries
  4. churches/mosques
  5. Offices etc.

A Tasty Profit

What else do you need? Well as soon as you have purchased your machine and corn all you need is vegetable oil and either salt or sugar depending on which you prefer. The machine comes with scoop & measuring spoons so you don't have to guess, it is all done for you! Serve in some nice cartons and watch your profits roll in!
The many benefits of a popcorn business include:
Profitability: Realize huge profit margins (popcorn is the highest profit margin product in the Vending Industry)
Affordability: Enjoy a minimal investment
Ease-of-Use: New machines are fun and simple to operate and more importantly - clean!
Reliability: Take comfort in owning a machine with a dependable dispensing system with consistent, high-quality output - warranties included.

I wouldn’t advice you to go around the streets hawking popcorn because their are better ways to do it. You can decide to be supplying the schools and supermarkets in your area and still make your money.
