After a rocky
first few months, Donald Trump's first budget proposals for the 2018 fiscal
year have been released, suggesting big cuts to save $26.7 billion.
In all, 66 federal
programs are set to face the axe although some of these will still see funding
for 2018 as part of a phasing-out plan.
The plans will be
heavily scrutinised in the coming days, weeks and months as politicians debate
every aspect of it.
